STAT 332

Statistics 231 was taught in 24 one-hundred-and-ten-minute classes (2 per week for a 12-week term); one class was allocated to covering each the 18 chapter of the course notes, five were used for hands-on laboratories (with students working in pairs), and one for end-of-term review.

Stat 231 had a prerequisite of Stat 230, the companion introductory probability course, and a mathematical prerequisite of Math 137, a one-term course in differential and integral calculus.

For many years, Stat 231 was offered in all three terms -- Fall, Winter and Spring -- of each academic year.

The text for the course from about 1993 to 2005 was Stat 231 Course Notes by Wayne Oldford and Jock Mackay.
