PMATH 333 Intro to Real Analysis, Winter 2024


Note: The PMATH 333 final exam will be held on
Saturday April 20th, from 12:30-3:00 pm, in MC 1085.

The exam will cover Chapters 1-5 in the lecture notes,
with the accompanying exercises, and all of the assignments.

There will be about 5 questions each with about 2 or 3 parts.

You should know the statements of all theorems and definitions,
and the proofs of the following 6 items from the lecture notes:

Theorem 1.29 Parts 1 and 2 (Properties of Ordered Fields)
Theorem 2.14 (The Completeness of the Real Numbers)
Example 3.6. (The Integrability of f(x)=x From the Definition)
Theorem 4.9 (Uniform Convergence, Limits and Continuity)
Theorems 5.28 and 5.29 (The Heine-Borel Theorem)
Theorem 5.70 (Properties of Continuous Functions)
