Mu Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Waterloo, Canada, where he currently holds a University Research Chair and serves as the Associate Dean of AI Strategy in its Faculty of Mathematics. He obtained his AB magna cum laude in applied mathematics from Harvard University, and his PhD in statistics from Stanford University. He is an elected Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
