DANIEL and the HAT BOOK

One day Daniel (with his Mom and Dad) went to a fair. At the fair there
were many stalls with clothes, toys, household things,
..., for sale. As they
walked by the stalls
Daniel saw one place with lots of hats for sale.
Suddenly, he thought he saw one of the hats
do tricks
talk and smile at him - talk and smile at him?
How can a hat talk and smile he thought? He ran over to look at the
hats. There were no hats doing tricks anymore but, he in his mind he saw
a picture of someone
talking - and smiling -
Did he imagine it? Because the hat did not have a face? Or did it have a
face hiding somehow on the hat? And did it move? Did it? He decided to
watch it VERY carefully.
(That hat has an itchy nose he thought, and, an itchy upper lip.)
Then Daniel thought he felt a kiss.
He turned around - and turned around - and turned around. Where did the
kiss come from? Then
Daniel fell in love
with the hat. He just had to have the hat. So he asked his parents if
they could buy it. And - surprise - as soon as the parents saw the hat,
they wanted to buy it as well. And so -- the hat came home with daniel.
