Both problems 8 and 9 on pgs 197-199 appear to have problems.
Prob 8: I am not sure how to prove statement b rigorously. (I would
appreciate an answer if someone else has one.) In addition, the line:
"Assume that the initial ......so that y_0^* > 0 "
is not quite right - the statement should just read:
"Assume that y_0^* > 0."
(since strict complementarity does not have to hold)
Prob 9:
The hint DOES work with the assumption that the optimal value Vn > = 0
in problem 8.

Page 358, #17: the shadow prices given in the text are wrong.

Page 361 #22: The value of the solution (66.8) does not agreed to the
objective value of
the given solution. It should have been 74.8.

Page 361 #23:
the current solution is NOT optimal.
Therefore, part c) where they ask you to show that this solution is
optimal seems to be wrong.

Page 411, # 12:
This problem is trivial under the current assumptions of integrality. It
should be changed to $x_4,x_5$ integral.
