Since October 1997 we offer the Master's Programme "Mathematics International", which is described below. With best regards Matthias Ehrgott MATHEMATICS INTERNATIONAL We offer students from all over the world, holding a Bachelor (or equivalent first degree) the possibility to achieve a Master's degree within the new master programme "Mathematics International" at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. This Master degree is equivalent to the "Diplom" which has a long tradition in mathematics at German Universities and qualifies for German Ph.D. programmes. "Mathematics International" is a two and a half year programme, that can be joined by foreign students for the period of at least one year up to the full period of two and a half years. The lectures within this programme will be held in the English language. Participants can choose to specialize in one of the following five fields: - Algebraic Geometry and Computer Algebra - Financial Mathematics - Functional Analysis and Probability - Industrial Mathematics - Optimization and Statistics An example curriculum for a student with the specialization Optimization and Statistics may look as follows: 1.
