Giselle Sosa Jones

gsosajon(at)uwaterloo(dot)ca

I recently graduated from Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo in Canada under the supervision of Dr. Sander Rhebergen. I will soon be joining the Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston as a Postdoctoral Researcher.

My research interests are in the area of numerical methods for solving partial differential equations. During my Ph.D. I developed space-time hybridizable discontinuous Galerkin methods for solving both linear and non-linear free surface wave problems. In the past, I also studied other numerical methods for solving differential equations, such as finite volume methods and mimetic methods.
