Tutorial
From time to time I may have to miss a lecture, or it may be
helpful to have an extra time slot for discussing topics in
the lectures where there may be difficulties.
I shall announce in class when these are to
take place.

Assignments
The will be about six assignments for the course.
Assignments are due on Fridays at the beginning of class.
Late assignments will not be accepted unless discussed with the
instructor in advance.
Assignments will be returned in class on the Wednesday following their
collection.
The assignments are an integral part of the course and you are
recommended very strongly indeed to attempt each question of
each of them.

I mentioned the Jacobi Triple Product Identity in class, and the fact
that certain congruences for the partition number may be deduced from
it. The construction is given in the Course Notes. Fuller details
