I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Applied Mathematics at University of Waterloo, under the supervision of Dr. Kevin Lamb. I am a member of the Environmental and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Group and UW’s Water Institute (SWIGS). My research area is on environmental and geophysical fluid dynamics, lake dynamics in particular. One of the projects I involve is aimed at understanding hypoxia in Lake Erie. Part of the project is to understand the internal wave field in the lake which I am currently working on. This project is funded by an NSERC Strategic Grant in collaboration with Kevin Lamb (my supervisor), Ralph Smith (Biology, Waterloo), Leon Boegman (Civil Engineering, Queen’s), Joe Ackerman (Integrative Biology, Guelph), and Ram Yerubandi (Environment Canada).
