IMPROVING LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ACCOUNTING THROUGH USE OF A
  LEARNING OBJECT, BOB SPROULE

Students continually identify understanding and using the operating
activity section of a cash flow statement as the most difficult concept
in financial accounting courses. To help students grasp this concept, an
on-line learning object has been developed and tested in a classroom
environment. A statistically significant improvement in learning
occurred. Time in the session will be allocated to an exchange of ideas
on the significance of the improved learning outcomes. Presentation is by
Bob Sproule, Faculty member of Accounting and member of the Teaching
  Based Research Group (TBR-G).
