Other things

Paul R. Halmos, Finite dimensional vector spaces, has an approach to Jordan form very similar to mine. See sections 57-58 (p.109-115) in the Springer Undergraduate Texts in Math. version.

R. Horn and C. Johnson, Matrix Analysis, covers much of the material on norms of vector spaces and matrices that I covered. See chapter 5, and also section 7.4 (although it will take a bit of digging here to find where they do the trace norm and Ky Fan norms).
