    My main areas of research are combinatorial optimization and structural combinatorics. I am currently working, with Bert Gerards and Geoff Whittle, on extending the Graph Minors Project of Robertson and Seymour to representable matroids; details can be found in this survey article. I am also thinking about the following open problems in matroid theory.
