Banach Algebras 2011

Travel

Waterloo is located in southwestern Ontario, approximately 100 km southwest of Toronto and 280 km northeast of Detroit, and is easily accessible by car, bus, plane, and train. Please see the information below (adapted from the Wikitravel website) for further information.

By plane

The closest major airport is the Toronto Pearson International Airport. Airways Transit offers shuttle bus service between Toronto Pearson Airport and Kitchener/Waterloo. Pearson Airport provides flights to and from a large number of destinations, and is located approximately 1 hour away from Waterloo by car in good traffic conditions.

Travellers from Western Canada may find the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) as a convenient alternative to Toronto Pearson Airport. It is serviced by a limited number of airlines, including WestJet (with regular domestic service to Calgary, Alberta) and Bearskin Airlines (with daily flights to Ottawa, Ontario).

Ground transportation from Toronto Pearson Airport

Online booking

Visit http://www.airwaystransit.com/index.shtml.

Use _Make Reservation_ on the top menu bar.

You will be asked to enter your name and contact information.

Under _Transportation Requirements_ select My first transfer is: "From Pearson International Airport". We recommend to book the round trip, in advance, to benefit from the conference rate for both directions of travel. Also select "Regular service (Shared ride)".

On the next page, fill in your information as asked. Under Conference/Event Name, enter "Banach Algebras 2011". FAILURE to do this will result in you paying the REGULAR FARE of about $90 each way. If staying at the UW Conference Centre, use UW's phone number 519-888-4567 as the _contact number at the drop off place_; otherwise use your hotel's phone number.
