Zeno, the Greek philosopher and mathematical critic, lived in Elea on the east coast of Italy some 200 years before Archimedes. As the author of our first and most ancient puzzle (see Achilles & the Tortoise), Zeno makes an appropriate host for these pages.
Here we are featuring the world's top 100 puzzles of all time. The puzzles have been organized for your convenience into five categories.
This feature is dedicated to Martin Gardner, whose latest work, The Colossal Book of Mathematics, has recently appeared.
