Traveling to and on Campus

IPCO 2017 takes place at the University of Waterloo which is located at 200 University Ave. West, Waterloo, Ontario. If you are staying at Delta hotel (see below) then you can reach the university by a 20min walk through Waterloo park.

If you are traveling to campus by car, you can park in M Lot for $6/day.

The Summer School takes place in room 5501 of the Mathematics & Computer Building (MC). All IPCO talks take place in room 0101 (enter through 1101) of the Quantum Nano Centre.


Traveling from YYZ to Waterloo

Airways Transit connects Toronto Pearson airport (YYZ) with the Waterloo area providing 24/7 door to door shared ride service. We have obtained a reduced single passenger fare of $59.00 one way, tax included, for Toronto airport transfers. (Travel time is approximately 1 hour). Advance reservations are required and travel dates must correspond to IPCO conference dates. Book online at: Enter booking code: IPCO 2017 (enter exactly as shown).

Conference Hotel

The Delta hotel is a state-of-the art facility, located in the centre of Waterloo, steps from many downtown restaurants, and shopping, as well as Waterloo Park. The university can be reached by foot, following a trail through the park. The hotel is located at 110 Erb St W, Waterloo.

We have reserved a limited number of rooms for IPCO participants (available at promotional daily rates of CAD 155 + 13%HST). Rooms in this contingent will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Promotional daily rates will be available before the cut-off date of Sunday, May 28th, 2017.

Optional Accommodations

An alternative to the conference hotel is available for students at nearby Wilfrid Laurier University.

The King Street Residence (Hotel Laurier, 200 King Street North, Waterloo) contains private bedrooms (with single beds) and shared washrooms. There are common lounges with a fridge, stove, microwave and television. The rate is $60.00/night (plus 13% HST) and includes a hot breakfast in the dining hall, wifi and parking.

Participants can reserve their room online or by calling 519-884-0710, x3958 and indicate that the purpose of visit is IPCO’17.
