Dean's Message:

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Mathematics web site at the University of Waterloo. The Faculty has had a highly successful year.  For example this last year saw  the groundbreaking for the new Faculty of Mathematics building (Math 3) to be completed by March 2011, the establishment of a new collaborative research center with Tsinghua University in Beijing (Center for Internet Information Acquisition), and the opening of a new campus in Dubai (with Math programs beginning in Fall, 2010).

The University of Waterloo Faculty of Mathematics continues to be a powerhouse of talent and ideas in the mathematical and computing sciences. Click here to read an update on our areas of focus for the next decade.
