The Department of Applied Mathematics was founded in 1967 and is one of five academic units in the Faculty of Mathematics. It is the home of 21 faculty members and 52 graduate students, together with postdoctoral fellows and undergraduate research assistants.
The strong emphasis on research in the department and the wide range of interdisciplinary research being undertaken, provides a stimulating environment for our graduate program. The department also has an excellent undergraduate program that attracts outstanding students.
